Criminal Record - Don't come to Costa Rica or they'll find you!! Interpol's system is now online at all borders

Immigration agents now online with Interpol headquarters
The immigration agency and judicial police revealed Thursday that agents at the country's ports of entry have been online with the International Police Agency since April. This gives agents checking arriving foreigners access to real time data that may contain information sufficient to deny entry.
The local Sección de Interpol is now within the Judicial Investigating Organization.
The Dirección General de Extranjería said that its agents would be in direct contact with the main Interpol office in France and be on the lookout for warrants, notices of fugitives and other police information.
The system also will be able to identify abducted children and missing persons, said Fredy Mauricio Montero Mora, vice minister of Gobernación,

DAY OLD • END OF DAY BREAD•BAKERY GOODS DISCOUNTED • Where to find Bakery "THRIFT SHOPs"•Panadarias in Costa Rica - Bimbo Expendio • Bagelmen's
Posted on 11:36 by Unknown
Dolores has created an AWESOME blog on great deals in Grecia and San Jose (and other areas) - GreciasJBargains.blogspot.com
One of the stories she did was on Bimbo's "Expendio" Day-Old baked goods (back in MY youth, we called them "Bakery Thrift Shops") in Grecia!!!
It looks like there might be other BIMBO EXPENDIO locations around Costa Rica at:
Bagelmen's has 1/2 price bagels from 8-9pm
Bakery Thrift Shops are such a flash back of many of our youths!! Do you know of other locations where one on a budget•are living cheaply in Costa Rica - could find these older baked goods, pastries, products - be they day old or end of day/baked earlier in the day?
Please add DETAILS any other places with good deals to "Comments" below!!

Delinquent U.S. Expat Taxes: Where to Start
Posted on 20:35 by Unknown
Are You Late with Filing Your US Expat Taxes (even several years)?
Here’s how to get back on track (and why you should!)
Here’s how to get back on track (and why you should!)
The author of this article, David McKeegan, is Director and Co-Founder of Greenback Expat Tax Services, a US Income Tax provider that provides best-in-class, expert expatriate tax services at an honest price for Americans living overseas. All information was correct at the time this article was written (February 2013).
Although many do not know it, it is actually quite common for American expats to find themselves late with their US expat taxes. Many expats are not familiar with the requirements to file, the necessary forms and schedules that must be attached, as well as other reports that must be submitted to US government agencies. Fortunately, until now, the IRS has been quite accommodating when it comes to allowing individuals to get caught up on their expat taxes.
You’re not alone! Taking it step by step can make getting back on track with the IRS and Treasury Department much more manageable. This article aims to walk you through the most common questions about the implications of being behind on your US expat taxes, how to get back on track, and why we recommend doing so.

GLOBAL AUCTION for Democrats Abroad - 2013
Posted on 20:03 by Unknown
Donate and sign up your friends too!2013 Global Auction - "Going Live" November 14, 2013 to raise funds for 'Get Out The Vote'
Also below: 2013 Global Donkey Race Grand Prize: "real live donkey" ???
Even if you’ve already donated to the Democrats Abroad Auction there is more you can do. See what Meredith Wheeler from France did.
Here is what you can do
(after you take quick peak at our website BiddingForGood.com/DemocratsAbroad)
- Still haven't donated, well put on your thinking cap and click "Donate an Item" on the right and follow the instructions, then ask a friend to do the same on the website. Be creative, see what others have done!
- Next, both of you might want to register. Go to the website above and click "Register to Bid" so you can be ready to bid on items when the 2013 Global Auction goes "live" from November 14-24, 2013
Why should you register? You (and your friends) will have a chance to bid on items from all over the world and, including great trips, art, and services. There will be some awesome values.
Benefits of donating items to Democrats Abroad 2013 Global Auction
- Instead of a cash donation, you and your friends can donate items (use of a home, art, services, or any item of value) that a fellow US citizen might want. The Global Auction is a way to raise money to Get Out the Vote (GOTV) for Democrats which is virtually "painless" and doesn’t require dipping into your pocketbook.
- Did you know, a Democrats Abroad donation is one of the best political donation one can make? That’s right. DA volunteers have a proven track record for voter turnout at less cost/voter than most other organizations.
So even if you have already donated an item, tap your friends and family who may have something unusual or attractive or funny to donate. And if you haven't donated anything yet, get started NOW! Each donor need only be over 18 and a US citizen. Remember, you can get started now by clicking the "Donate an Item" button above OR go to BiddingForGood.com/DemocratsAbroad, click on "Donate Item" on the left and follow the instructions.
If you need help, email us at DemsAbroadAuction@yahoo.com. We'll send you a manual donor form or contact you directly, whichever you prefer. Thanks for your help in making our 2013 Global Auction a success.
Don't miss: 2013 Global Donkey Race details at the bottom of this page. Your country can win a "real live donkey" to a needy family overseas.
